Registration Costs

  • IACA Members:  $575.00
  • Non-Members:  $675.00
  • Full-Time Students:  $150.00  (proof of full-time status required)
    • To be qualified for the student rate, the registrant must be a full-time undergraduate student, who is not employed by a law enforcement agency or an IACA exhibiting vendor. Students must submit a copy of their current transcripts to the IACA Conference Registrar ([email protected]) and be approved, prior to registering, to receive the student rate. Students actively enrolled in a crime and intelligence certification program also qualify for the student rate. The student rate does not apply to certification students employed full-time by a law enforcement agency as a crime/intelligence analyst or similar role. Full-time law enforcement employees (dispatcher, records specialist, etc.) who are certification students do qualify for the student rate.

Executive Track

This FREE one-day training is geared for all law enforcement leaders who are wanting to maximize their analytical capability and are seeking information on analytical best-practices, hiring techniques, or how to make the most of their analysts currently within their department.

All Executive Track attendees are also invited to attend Monday’s Opening Ceremonies, which will include presentations by Keynote Speaker Director of Texas Department of Public Safety Steven McCraw, Special Guest Speaker Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia, and Honored Guest Speakers from the National Police of Ukraine. Additionally, all Executive Track attendees are invited to attend the Exhibitor Expo with over 30 of the leading analytical software companies in the field and the Welcome Reception at the famous Austin Ranch.

Currently, the Executive Track will feature:

  • Chief of Police Jeff Walther from Scottsdale (AZ) Police Department
  • Chief of Police Ron Thomas from Denver (CO) Police Department
  • Chief of Police Rachel Tolber from Redlands (CA) Police Department
  • Assistant Chief Lee Rankin from Mesa (AZ) Police Department.

Attendance is free for Monday and Tuesday’s festivities; however, if you would like to attend the full week of sessions, the IACA is offering a discounted rate of $200.

  • The Embassy Suites is honoring the government per diem rate of $167 + taxes/fees per night until August 14, 2023. 
  • Parking is $15 per night. 
  • Transportation to/from the Gaylord Resort will be provided. Check the conference app under Parking Passes & Shuttle Transportation for details and shuttle times.  

Airport Shuttle 

The IACA has secured discounted schedule shuttle transportation to/from the Gaylord Texan from all airports. The reservations need to be made on the SuperShuttle website. Awards, Contests & Scholarships

The IACA provides several opportunities for members to receive scholarships to attend the conference and for annual awards. Submissions are accepted at various times between March and July. For more information, deadlines and to submit an application, visit the Awards page.

Schedule

Monday, August 28 to Friday, September 1, 2023. Sessions mostly occur 0800-1700 hours. Friday is a half-day. Check back for additional information about courses and special events.

Night Out Events

Monday Welcome Reception

"If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bull...riding."  WC Fields (probably)

Join IACA at the Monday night welcome reception at the Austin Ranch for country music, line dancing, mechanical bull riding, baby pig races, and games! Network with your crime analysis buddies new and old and explore your country and western side. Polish off your boots, strap on your best belt buckle and dust off your cowboy hat because this event is all about wearing your best western look! RSVP is required to attend.

Wednesday Night Social Networking

IACA is bringing karaoke back - them other conferences don’t know how to act! We hope to see you Wednesday night for karaoke, games (giant Jenga, anyone?), and lots of networking with all your crime analysis buddies. We will be taking over the Glass Cactus and singing our hearts out! RSVP is required to attend.

Indicate your RSVP to attend the night out events at the time of conference registration. To modify your RSVP, access your registration through the conference registration page (under "Already Registered?") using your email and confirmation number.

Cancellation Policy

All conference registration cancellations must be submitted in writing to the IACA Conference Registrar at [email protected] on or prior to Wednesday, July 26, 2023 for a full refund.

  • Registrants who cancel on or prior to Wednesday, July 26, 2023, will receive a full refund if the registrant completed the registration process and paid prior to Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
  • Registrants who pay registration fees, do not attend the conference, and fail to notify the IACA Conference Registrar of their cancellation will NOT receive a refund.
  • Registrants who have registered and not paid prior to the conference will be responsible for a $150 food/administrative fee if cancellation is not received by Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
  • All conference cancellations must be made in writing to the IACA Conference Registrar ([email protected]) on or before Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
  • If your registration fee has been paid, but you cannot attend, you may transfer your registration to another person in your organization. All transfers/substitutions must be coordinated with the IACA Conference Registrar at [email protected]. Please notify as soon as you have determined that a substitution is required.
