The Bylaws Committee ensures congruency between the IACA Bylaws and other IACA publications and offers guidance regarding parliamentary procedure to the IACA Executive Board.

Certification

The Certification Commission administers the IACA’s Certified Law Enforcement Analyst (CLEA) program, reviewing applicants’ criteria, delivering the certification exam, and setting certification policy. They are responsible for updating certification materials and arranging for international adaptations of the certification test. |
Conference
Brittany Willis, Chair

The Conference Committee is the oldest and one of the most important IACA committees, planning and running the IACA Annual Training Conference, including training, registration, facilities, food, activities, entertainment, promotions, and other logistics. The Conference Committee spends the entire year planning each annual training conference. |
Elections

The Election Committee coordinates and administers an annual election process for IACA Executive Board positions in a fair and impartial manner consistent with the IACA Bylaws and detailed guidelines set forth by the committee. |
Ethics

The Ethics Committee provides an impartial review and offers recommendations for all reports of ethical grievances made concerning IACA members and projects.

International Symposium

The Symposium Committee plans and runs the IACA’s annual spring symposium, a two-day event held each year outside the United States. |
Logistics
Seth Potts, Chair

The Logistics Committee coordinates the inventory, shipment, and storage of the IACA Booth and other merchandise and promotes the IACA brand at events. |
Mail Assistant

The Mail Assistant is an appointed position who processes the IACA’s physical mail. He or she picks up the mail at our Overland Park, Kansas post office box and distributes it to the appropriate IACA board members and committees. |
Marketing

The Marketing Committee works to promote a cohesive and recognizable IACA brand and ensures that all official IACA communications are professional, accurate, and consistent in their messaging.

Membership
Rachel Carson, Chair

The Membership Committee process new and renewing IACA memberships, manage the membership database and otherwise assist the Vice President of Membership. The committee aims to grow the association to encompass members around the world. It also provides translation services to its non-English speaking members.

Mentoring

The Mentoring Program pairs new members with veteran members who can provide advice on topics like skill development, better integration within the agency, dealing with difficult co-workers, and designing quality crime analysis products.

Publications

The Publications Committee develops current and relevant information to share with crime analysts, IACA committees, members of law enforcement (including senior leadership), researchers, and the broader public that supports and promotes the growth, institutionalization, and professionalism in the field of crime analysis. |
Regional & Chapters

The Regional and Chapters Committee (RACC) was established to provide support to local, regional and chapter crime analyst associations affiliated with the IACA. This committee exists to improve communications between associations as well as the IACA and to assist with the establishment of new associations by providing information on the creation, standards, protocols and best practices of longstanding organizations. The RACC also assists associations with conference planning and training initiatives.

Technology

The Technology Committee manages the IACA’s technology products, including the web site, social media presence, GIS portal and telecommunications. The Director acts as a liaison to all other committees for their technology needs. This website is the primary responsibility of the committee and it includes both programming and content development.

Training
Kyle Stoker, Director

The Training Committee administers the IACA’s Professional Training Series, planning and delivering the core courses, special contract classes, international classes and, soon, online classes. The Committee selects instructors, approves curriculum, tracks registrations and payment, and handles all other logistics associated with IACA training except the training offered at the Conference and the Symposium.
