The increasing number of incel-related attacks across North America and Europe have prompted governments and law enforcement agencies to take action and declare inceldom a burgeoning terrorist threat. Incel-motivated terrorism represents a novel and challenging form of terrorism that requires a collaborative and sophisticated approach by law enforcement agencies, policy makers, academia and mental health professionals to combat. However, what we have noticed is that the traditional, legal definition of terrorism is severely outdated, and its rigid guidelines are ill-equipped to effectively mitigate incel-related terrorist threats, namely its decentralization and sparse networks of lone actors that carry out these attacks.

This webinar will discuss the inception of inceldom and why the incel-motivated attacks should be labeled terrorism. We will deconstruct the incel movement in the modern age and introduce solutions that will aid analysts in the identification and prevention of major incel-related attacks, such as the incorporation of threat assessment management and strategies such as covert tech operations that infiltrate and target digital spaces, where incel-related violence is first conceptualized. The analyst occupies a unique and pivotal position, as the application of efficient strategic and tactical practices could result in the dismantling of this tangible threat to international public safety.

Registration will close at 1600 Central Time the business day before the webinar. Late registrations will NOT be accepted.
