Google will present an overview of their disclosure program involving the CyberCrime Investigation Group: Imminent Threats (CCIG:IT) team as well as the legal underpinnings governing those disclosures. The session will highlight the situations in which the CCIG:IT will and will not consider proactively referring matters to law enforcement, the various categories of referrals, and the processes in place to detect and internally escalate matters for CCIG:IT’s investigation. The session will also do a deeper dive on the imminent threat assessment methodology, and will include a review of several case studies from actual imminent threat referrals that led to positive outcome.
