IACA Event Registration

Conference Registration and Cancellation Information

Please read this information thoroughly before registering.

The IACA 2018 conference is Monday, September 17, 2018 through Friday, September 21, 2018 in Newport Beach, CA. The conference hotel is the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa; all training is held at this location.

Registration Rates

The conference rate for IACA members is $500.00 USD; beginning Wednesday, August 1, 2018, the member rate increases to $575.00 USD. Your conference registration rate is determined at the time of your registration. As a result, if you register for the conference as a non-member but join the IACA at a later date, you are still responsible for the non-member conference rate. If you are an IACA member but your membership has lapsed, please renew your membership and verify it is active before registering for the conference. You can check your membership status here.

If you are not an IACA member, the conference rate is $550.00 USD; effective Wednesday, August 1, 2018, the non-member rate increases to $625.00 USD.

This year we are also offering the following special registration:

  • $250 USD student registration - This registration requires a letter from the professor/counselor/advisor on official college letterhead confirming the student is in a full-time program.
    • This rate also applies to students enrolled in the CCIAA Certification Program at various Southern California colleges/universities.
    • Full-time working crime analysts enrolled or going through the CCIAA program are NOT eligible for the student rate

If you transfer your conference registration to a non-IACA member within your organization, you will be responsible for paying the difference between the member and non-member rates. Please contact the Conference Registrar regarding any registration transfers.

Anyone registered on or before Tuesday, July 31, 2018 will receive the discounted rate even if payment is not made at that time.

Payments and Refunds

Payments can be made via Visa, Mastercard, PayPal or check. After you register, you will have access to your online invoice where you can pay using a credit card or PayPal. If you are paying by check, please remit to: The International Association of Crime Analysts, Inc., 9218 Metcalf Avenue #364, Overland Park, Kansas, 66212. To avoid problems when paying by check, please make sure your name and confirmation number are included on the check. If you plan to bring payment with you to the conference, please inform the Conference Registrar.

All refunds (full or partial) for credit card or PayPal payments will be subject to a 4% administrative fee to cover charges we must pay for those transactions. Your IACA member email address must be used to receive the membership rate. In the case that a non-member email address is used to register and pay for a member, a transaction fee will be collected if a partial refund is required.

Cancellations and Substitutions

Registrants who cancel on OR prior to Friday, August 10, 2018 will receive a full refund if the registrant completed the registration process and paid prior to Friday, August 10, 2018.

Registrants who pay registration fees, do not attend the conference and fail to notify the IACA registrar of their cancellation will NOT receive a refund.

Registrants who have registered and not paid prior to the conference will be responsible for a $150 food/administrative fee if cancellation is not received by Friday, August 10, 2018.

All conference cancellations must be made in writing to the IACA Conference Registrar (conference-registrar@iaca.net) on or before Friday, August 10, 2018.

If your registration fee has been paid but you cannot attend, you may transfer your registration to another person in your organization. All transfers/substitutions must be coordinated with the Conference Registrar. Please notify them as soon as you have determined that a substitution is required.
